The city of Apple Valley and Minnesota Recreation and Parks Association have set the date for the 2nd Annual Down in the Valley hat tournament! Once again, we'll be looking to bring players of all ages and skills together for a fun weekend of Ultimate. If your team can turn it on at the right time, perhaps you will be the next to hoist the Golden Disc!

Players can (and should!) apply individually or with one requested teammate. We are again offering an early bird special: If you sign up by August 2nd, registration is only $10. Any players entering after that point (including day-of registrants) will have to pay $15. Our games are once again on the beautiful Johnny Cake soccer fields in Apple Valley.

When: August 7-8, 2010

Where: Johnny Cake Ridge Park

Fee: $10 by Aug. 2nd, $15 after. Make checks payable to MRPA.

- Games start at 9:00am each day. Day-of registration begins 7:30am Saturday.
- Bring at least two shirts - one black and one white - no gray please!
- There is NO alcohol allowed at the park.
- Concessions be on sale, and each team will receive snacks Saturday morning.
- Water coolers will be placed at each field, please bring your own bottle to fill.

Early Bird Registration Extended!

Don't fret, there's still plenty of time to sign up and save up! The early bird special for registration has been extended to Thursday at 4 pm.

As long as we have your forms by then, it's only $10. As a special bonus, Air Traffic is giving out $5 gift cards to the first 50 people that sign up. Don't forget about the ridiculous prizes for the winners. Some details are being nailed down, but it's rumored that a golden disc - one that flies higher and truer than any others - can be found in the winner's circle...

Find two friends and bring 'em out. See you on Saturday!

We are now accepting player registration for the first annual Down in the Valley Ultimate hat tournament!

For anyone who is interested in the sport of Ultinate Frisbee, this tournament is designed to bring players of all skill levels together. Players sign up individually, but can list a friend to be placed on the same team. Teams will be formed by tournament coordinators with the goal being balanced and fun competition both days. All players must be over the age of 16 and fill out a waiver before they will be allowed to play. Details are below:

Location: Eastview High School
Fee: $10 early registration by August 3rd, $15 August 4th - August 8th
